Erm, no it’s not. No it’s not at all. Water recycles itself and any chemicals(almost all natural) in a fish tank aren’t going to effect anything

thanks for sharing the video ! i guess 10 % of water change is good for saltwater fishes cause they are small and are not dirty like Goldfish ! have a 55 gallon tank with goldfish and i have to change a least a 30 % water change once week to keep good quality water in tank
no, thats is …
no, thats is actualy a realy well educated thought that you so eloquently rebuked with, ” that was stupid, and I do 30% water changes every week!”
clean water is a limited resource.
and if you feel that the 30% doesn’t matter, than you are sadly ignorant of the astounding truth associated with clean water supplies.
although, expecting somebody who strengthens their argument with an example of how they do worse to not be ignorant would be optomistic in the extreme.

clean water is a …
clean water is a limited resource. I think aquarists need better filtration methods if we feel we must do a 10% water change every week.
Saltwater or …
Saltwater or freshwater? Either way, a weekly 10% weekly water change (not counting top-off from evaporation!) is in good order. Unless you have burrowing animals or sand-sifting invertebrates or fish, vacuuming 1/3 of your gravel or sand with a siphon kit is a must. (but don’t vaccuum if you have live plants, of course!) The vaccuming is essential, as it removes sulfur gasses that build up as food and waste decompose. It also eliminates the nutrients that feed bad algae and most cyanobacteria.
Don’t remove the …
Don’t remove the fish! Take out 10% each week. If it’s freshwater, vaccuum one third of the gravel bed with a siphon kit. If it’s saltwater with only fish, (no corals or other invertebrates) you can also vaccuum 1/3 of the sandbed with a siphon kit. This will remove debris that pollute aquarium water and cause algae buildup and ultimately, severe stress to your fish that will cause their health to decline. Never take out more than 40% unless it’s an emergency. Do the weekly 10%! It’s worth it!

how do u manage to …
how do u manage to keep the salt gravity level stable? because water evaporates and the water become saltier! do you just add water with some other chemical to safely added to your tank or what do i do to safely add water.
