What’s it liek to keep a rabbit a a pet? Are they affectionate? Woudl u rather keep a bunny or a bird as a pet?
Which gives you more affection and interaction, a pet rannit or pet bird and why? What’s it like keeping a bunny as a pet?
I am not a big fan of birds, they tend to make a lot of mess and noise.
Rabbits are not always so skittish, you just have to be patient and let them get used to you. Once you have a rabbit’s trust, they can be very affectionate and over time they can learn to tolerate being picked up (but again, only if they trust you.) check out this website to learn how to interact with a rabbit. http://rabbit.org/
I would highly recommend going to a rescue specializing in rabbits, there are a bunch in RI and CT but I dont know where you live. An adult rabbit from a rescue place will be fixed and litter box trained. Also, the staff will have spent hours with the rabbit (usually they are in foster homes) so they will know the exact personality of the rabbit, so you can pick the one that meshes most with what you want, as opposed to the cutest one. Rabbits can have very very different personalities, they are not all the same.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have either, but thats just my personal preference.
The drawback to having a rabbit is that you can’t pick them up like you think you could. They get really anxious and freak out, and may even bite, so leaving them on the ground is the best option.
The drawback to having a bird is that they are very high maintenance, and they need hours of personal attention each day, as well as being very vocal. I had a cockatiel a few years ago, and while I loved him to death, I just couldn’t handle his constant squawking, so I gave him up.

They are affectionate
You should get two Rabbits because:
1) These are cheaper.
2) Cheaper food.(vegetables only while dogs may need meat)
3) Give birth to bunnies in very short time(short gestation period) and you will love the baby rabbits.
4) Rabbits Don’t bark like dogs.
5) Rabbits Don’t disturb guests or people etc.
6) Rabbits look very beautiful while chilling in garden.
7) After a year, you will have enough rabbits from 2 to gift to your friends or relatives.
