Actually it ia correct, depending on the species. The hyacinth Macaw can live to 100 years old, so the range is extreme, and depends on the species. We have over 60 birds in our home, and the potential for many of them to live longer than my wife and I is pretty significant. We have a will that specifies what is to be done with any birds that might still be with us after we are gone.
