how do you stop your pet bird from biting your ear, i have a pet alexandrine and whenever i put him on my shoulder he just goes for my ear. how should i fix this?
Don’t let him on your shoulder if he bites it. Immediately put him on the perch or on you finger and tell them no bite. After about 50 times they may catch on. Our bird does this every time my son holds him but never me, but I don’t let him set on my shoulder I cuddle him on my chest and rub his neck.
With training if he does it put him back in his cage for time out if he doesn’t give him a treat repeat the process If all else fails try wearing a cap that covers your ears when you have him on your shoulder

lol. Hes cleaning your ear. A lot of birds do that. Try telling him/her no and with that remove him from your shoulder and place him on your lower arm. Its almost a OCD for birds of his caliber and parrots. But you have a very smart bird so he/she will get it. But, sometimes they just cant help it even when trained. Take care

2.Put hot sauce on your ear.
