What does it mean when a horse traps you with it’s head and neck while in its barn while or after you pet it?

It append more when I asa child around age 10-12 and then get out of it tn y dad smiles and giggles strong. Is the horse bing playful or fig ting me?

I think he’s being playful. I always interpreted it as a hug from a horse, b/c that’s how a horse I used to lease did his hugs. If you don’t feel scared when he wraps his head and neck around you, then I think it’s a hug. He’s doing nothing threatening. He might be lonely, and trying to prevent you from leaving, which in that case, play some games to bond with him. I want to teach my horse how to ‘play’ soccer, but I don’t exactly have a beach/yoga ball for him to use and possibly flatten/destroy. I try to give him a ’spa-treatment’ day whenever I get home from college, to ‘re-bond’ with him, in a way.

But yeah, he’s just hugging/playing with you. It’s really cute when they do it to kids barely tall enough to wrap their arms around the neck, but it’s cute regardless who does it.

No, dont worry, the horse does not want too fight you. Hes probley just a bit lonely, and wants too spend more time with you! Hes Just trying too prevent you from leaving him, trying too make you stay longer. Give him some treats, and if he is your horse, just spend some quality time with him. hope this helps!!

Your horse is just being playful =)
As others said, give it some more attention. It seems like your horse likes you and loves/needs attention so don’t be afraid to spend some time spoiling it.
